News
February 2009: We've just released a new version of our Advanced C++ Programming course, which - as well as being completely reorganized - now covers a lot more about the Standard Library, and introduces the Boost libraries. For more details about this 5-day course, please get in touch.
January 2009: We have two new courses on writing secure web applications, which will be of interest to anyone who wants to understand the problems that face developers trying to develop secure web applications in today's sophisticated Internet environment. They cover the same ground, but Writing Secure Java Web Applications covers secure development in the context of Java technologies, while Writing Secure ASP.NET Applications does the same for Microsoft ASP.NET. For more details about this 5-day course, please get in touch.
October 2008: Even though most of the noise in the curly-bracket-language world is about C#, Java and C++, C is still very widely used in many areas of commerce and industry. The Advanced C Programming course is suitable both for those who want to deepen their understanding of C, and as a conversion course for programmers who are expert in another high-level language, and who need to find out how to write and maintain professional C code. For more details about this 5-day course, please get in touch.
September 2008: Some of our courseware is now available for purchase. We know from experience that sometimes freelance trainers and small training companies have the expertise to deliver a course, but don't have suitable materials. It often isn't worth developing materials for courses that are given infrequently, and finding suitable courseware isn't easy. For that reason, we're making our courseware available for licensing, and there are several options available, ranging from a simple slide deck, up to a complete offering with slides, notes, labs and lab solutions, and instructor guides. For more details, please get in touch.
March 2008: "Introduction to the Spring Framework" provides an introduction to programming Spring version 2.5 in Java. It covers the major features of Spring (IoC container, AOP, data access, web integration) and is suitable for Java programmers who already have some knowledge of JEE. Email us for details.
February 2008: We can now provide training in the C programming language. "Introduction to C Programming" is suitable for existing programmers who need to become proficient in ANSI Standard C, while "Advanced C Programming" is for C programmers who want to extend their knowledge and skills. Both these courses are based on ANSI C99, and are not platform specific. Contact us via the usual email address for more details.
November 2007: Welcome to new, easier to read website design! Some links might not work until I've had time to covert all the content over to the new format, so email us if you need any information (or spot any problems!)
